FIRE.MOON.GROCERIES
It's little things like walking out of the grocery store on a Saturday evening with Pops to see this view that makes my weekend... And also makes me perfectly ok with grocery shopping being the highlight of our weekend night!

TOO BUSY CHILLIN
I missed my Hula class tonight. I thought about it all day today wondering what we would learn! End of the work day got busy as it usually does and as soon as the clock struck 5:00pm, all I could think about was coming home to hang with my boys. It wasn't until about 8:30 after having had played a mean game of tug-o-war with the d.o.g., watched a movie, and had dinner with Pops that I suddenly realized I completely forgot about and missed my Hula Hooping class. I was super bummed for all of about 5 mins until Pops, Hummer, and I decided to chill on an air matters in the command center. Hooping's gives one mad street cred and is super cool, but at the end of the day, this is so much cooler.

CAUSE WE'RE CHILL LIKE THAT
Pops, Hummer and I just like to hang out. Don't get me wrong, we all love getting out of the house and doing something new or fun, but usually we choose to just hang out together in the comfort of our own home. And let's get real. Pops has a hard time wearing pants (he's a Crossley) so it's better if we allow that to only happen inside... now if I could just get him to make sure the blinds are closed before he takes off his pants.

Merci Beaucoup!
Pops and I are married. Wait, what? We weren't married already? Yeah, could have fooled me too! Anyway, as many of you know we've moved to SLC and K has started his Master's program at the University of Utah. As many of you know we love to travel! However with Pops in school full time and trying to get our new home put together we wont be able to vacation too much for the next couple years. I haven't been in the blogisphere and webisphere for the past little while due to life, but boy am I glad I decided to catch up today!
Have you ever heard of the website OHHAPPYDAY.COM? Well if not please take a gander. That sweet little mamma that runs the site is giving away a 7 day trip for 2 to PARIS! Are You Kidding Me? Included is airfare, an amazing boutique-y hotel, and a couple of those 7 days touring around with her to her fav spots! What a perfect way to take a break from a grueling Masters Degree and (ah hem) working in clothing retail during Back to School Season and Holiday Season. (I LOVE MY JOB..... after holiday there is serious regrouping time needed.)
Anyway, the contest is closing soon so if you want to get in on this biz nas I suggest you jog your little browsin' fingers right on over there and take a gander then enter to win. Good Luck to you.... No, Wait! Good Luck to Me!

WE'RE GETTIN' HITCHED!
Most, if not all of you know the big guy n I are finally going to be 'sealing' the deal (I couldn't help it) in 2011! I have a lot of people asking me about details of the wedding and what the date is so I thought I'd just go ahead and post some of the details here.
The big day is Saturday, May 7th 2011.
We are very excited to do it then because K will be out of school, his sis, Janna will be home from her mission, and *hopefully* my brothers big family from Iowa will be able to come out!
We are getting married in the Mt. Timp Temple and having the reception at Sleepy Ridge Wedding Center. Yes, it's a golf course too so if you want to hit a few rounds before the reception, be our guests!
We are so thrilled about our approaching big day and would like to share it with all who care to come celebrate with us or just eat the food (can you say Magleby's chocolate cake?!) so if you aren't sure if you are on the invite list just let us know you'd like to join us on this day and we'll make sure you're on the list!

Crossley Reunion As Promised *wink*
The Crossley Reunion was the start of a great tradition. The idea is that if we start having family reunions now while the family is still relatively small then when the family grows and grows and grows it won't be as hard to get together because the tradition is already established. Brilliant!
There were family pictures - serious planning into matching without bringing denim into the mix, good food - Jackson only snuck (is that a word?) 10 cookies, tons of games - I think I only saw Lori trying to throw a dart at Kendall once, and of course great company - when they weren't on the cell phones or when Jackson was trying to join the other family that had more ice cream than us. :)
I know it's been a while so instead of stories that no one is interested in anymore let me just share a few pictures from the Crossley Family Reunion we had last June.
AJ and Carren
I love this one because I've been on the other end of that little girl's stare and it's always right before a huge smile!
Dallin with his "contemplative serious" side
Scott showing us how to play his Minute to Win It games...
The majority of us. Only ones not shown is Mom Crossley and Yours Truly
(Please take note of Jackson sneaking another cookie)
Sweet Shirts Carren made for us to always remember the event!
Sorry L for the pic of you while you're eating. It's the only one I had that really showed the shirts
Dad teaching Son how to play baseball... Sweet.
A sure sign that Jackson had fun
Cookie Bandit
I can only dream of having a little girl as cute as this little one!
Jackson trying to join another family who was still partying when ours was over

In Loving Memory...
JEFFERY HASARA
NOVEMBER 24, 1993 - AUGUST 16, 2010
I had a really hard time trying to figure out exactly what to say about one of the most amazing people I've ever had the opportunity to know and I think my sister, Jess said it all here.

Sweet Face
I think Pops is sweet. Just to make sure everyone else knows how sweet he is I made him pose for this pic.
He loved me taking this pic so much that I thought Hummer would like to get in on the sweetness.
Hummer is sweet too.
Sometimes, every once in a while, Pops thinks I'm sweet.
It was a family affair.

I LOVE YOU LIKE A ZOMBIE LOVES BRAINS
Pops n I are not good at hiding our detest to the holiday that is Valentines day. We hate the commercialism of it, we very much hate the ooie gooieness of it all, we hate getting/giving roses ("to show you my love let me give you soft petals of flowers that will soon wilt and crust away") we hate the pinks and and reds and whites combo colors that are painted in every store you walk into, and we hate the focus it puts on the girlie half of a duo. Considering neither one of us are very girlie it just doesn't suite us much to celebrate Valentines day! So as normal we found ourselves swearing off hearts n little stuffed gorillas/bears telling us that they love everyone walking by for the mere price of $14.99! (Half of those "cute" little guys got recalled this year for lead poison by the way! see for yourself HERE)
As we walk around with our arms tightly folded high on our chest and faces in a perma stink face about the the upcoming Holiday (imagine a 2 year old pouting) we surprisingly received a letter in the mail from a beloved friend/cousin Tessa...

arms uncrossed as soon as we saw the wizard stickers on the back...
Faces started to lighten as the contents revealed themselves from the little pink package...

Oh my...

I think I might...

Is it possible....

If this is setting the pace for this year's ooie gooie holiday then I LOVE VALENTINES DAY THIS YEAR!

Back Unfolded

It was just so perfect for Pops n I's personality, no? How could one person know just how to melt our icy stone hearts just in time for Love Day? Well, Tessa aka Zelbie aka KickAssSuperGirl, if we weren't completely convinced of your amazing talents before (which we totally were) we are now!
This weekend as we talked we talked about roses and pink colors and not liking the lovey dovey stuff we revealed that we don't actually hate the holiday. We just choose to focus on what's important that day... each other in each other's lives. I decided to celebrate my Love for Pops on this special weekend and do the one thing he always does for me and I never, NEVER do for him. I was going to cook! It started out with big plans and elaborate dinners. Then reality set in, I got overwhelmed and didn't want to ruin the day by stressing over this meal. Thinking of something we both like and something that I like to cook I thought of these:
I'm great at making a mean crepe aka creepies and Pops enjoys eating them with me. I pick up some amazingly HUGE yummy strawberries and RediWhip, broke out the Nutella and started cooking. I made sure to pick up some Diet Coke and Snickerdoodle cookies to hold him over until the first creepie was done and boy was he surprised. I though, "yeah, this is what Valentines day is about." There was no ulterior motive behind it and no expectations in return from it. Just wanting to do something sweet for the Love of my Life.
Of course, as normal, there was no shortage of sweet back rubs while cooking, while watching TV, while taking a quick nap from Pops all day long. I know that I'm a lucky girl, because I mean it when I say that's normal. Pops rubs my back daily even if it's just a quick press the kinks out the lower back from a long day.
Keeping in with the theme of Love I was surprised when Pops consented to taking me to see New Moon! So I subjected him to this filth...
and even I know it is filth.
I mean this guy is sweet at all times, but I TRY not to take advantage of that much and I definitely try not to subject him to things that I know will make him throw up. But when I asked there was no hesitation... "Yeah, sure. I will do that for you." That last sentance albeit sweet, is his way of sweetly saying, "Even though I know this will rip part of my soul out of my being and I may die a weaker man, I love you enough to suffer through it." He's amazingly sweet without even knowing it every single day!
So although I'm sure that every year I will vow not to harass others with my distaste then not be able to contain it and claim my war on Valentines day one thing will remain the same forever and ever... I Love this Guy Like a Zombie Loves Brains!
